Welcome

Thank you for having a look around our brand new school website. I hope our website gives you a flavour of what makes St Silas CE Primary School such a fantastic and unique place to learn and to work. We are extremely proud of all our pupils, and we work hard to ensure that we give each and every child who attends our school the very best start in life so that they can go on to achieve their full potential.

We encourage all our children to aim high and do their very best at all times – both in school and out. By setting challenging goals and supporting children to achieve these goals, we aim to show that the key to success is ambition and hard work. We want our children to have high aspirations, and we want to ensure that our part of their learning journey is a positive and rewarding one.

Our ambition is that each and every child who attends St Silas will be encouraged to thrive, flourish and to live life in all its fullness (John 10:10). This vision is about more than academic achievement; it is also about moral and spiritual development within an inclusive and welcoming school community which is built around the Christian values of love, acceptance and respect for all.

Schools in the Rainbow Education Multi-Academy Trust share five core values which underpin everything that we do. One of those values is excellence: this means that we have extremely high standards in all areas of school, and we expect the best from all our pupils and staff. Another one of our core values is wisdom: this can be seen in the way that we use data and research to guide our curriculum design and teaching methodology to ensure that they are right for our children and provide them with the best possible education. Friendship is another one of our core values: we encourage children to develop lasting friendships by promoting kindness and empathy, and I can honestly say that I feel a genuine warmth every time I walk into school.

If you have any questions about St Silas CE Primary School, or would like the opportunity to visit school and see for yourself, please contact me via the school office.
